Program Note
This work is written based on the two beautiful melodies composed by the two students from the Fairview Elementary School, Bloomington, Indiana. Although these two melodies are not strictly relevant, I still properly combine them into a new piece. The first section brings the one tune out. The second section, which is in a faster tempo, introduces the other theme. Both the melodies are divided into fragments and go throughout the piece in the development section. Then, the energy and intensity go higher, but in the end, a Jazz fragment interrupts the atmosphere, ending up this work in a humorous way.

大家好!今天想與各位分享一首小曲子,它的標題是:《智慧的旅人》。這首作品是以兩位就讀於費爾維尤國小的小學生所創作的旋律作為基礎,而後再逐漸編寫而成的。以下是這兩段旋律之樂譜:必須說,一開始連筆者也不知道該怎麼將這兩段旋律融合於同一首作品中。後來,才想到利用「並置」的方法加以組合。以下這邊播放的是完成後的演出錄音:
雖然這兩段旋律並不嚴格相關,但作曲者仍然將它們合適地組合成一首新樂曲。樂曲之第一部分分別介紹了第一段旋律與第二段旋律。在樂曲之第二部分,兩段旋律逐漸片段化,並在整個段落中進行發展。緊接著,能量和強度會更高,但最終,爵士樂碎片會打斷氣氛,以幽默的方式結束此樂曲。
